Wait, hold the phone. Are you guys seeing this? I'm watching live news of a huge tsunami rushing across Japan right now, destroying everything in it's path. They just had one of the strongest earthquakes in recorded history. 8.9 ! OMG!

News just said that seismographs on Mt. Hood in Oregon and Mt. St. Helens in Washington recorded this earthquake from clear across the other side of the Pacific. Wow. They can't be sure yet if a tsunami will hit the coast here, but if it does, it will hit Oregon around 7:30am tomorrow morning.

tsunami warning sirens are going off along the Oregon coast. Evacuations are underway. Some locations have already seen tsunami waves over 4 feet high.
