I didn't mean to imply that I regret saying anything. It's just unfortunate that I am seen as a a-hole for doing so. The atmosphere around here is not unlike that of a country that persecutes and/or discourages free speech.

I've pretty much already said what I needed to say. No point in going any further with it.

I hope at some point you will look in retrospect and discover that many people are only trying to help.

That's the problem with expressing yourself. There's always a risk that you'll come across as an a-hole.

Is it now. Well that's not hyperbolic at all.

I'm trying very hard to believe that. I'm not trying to justify my rant or back peddle and say I didn't mean any of it, but I quit smoking a few days ago. Everything that has ever irritated me is doing so now with such a vengeance that I cannot keep it bottled in any longer.

Basically, I'm pissed off at the world. All that has been suppressed for whatever reason, is no longer. I have heard all of your concerns and I will try to "reel it in" so to speak.

Re: Its oh so quiet Shh Shh

If you think that will help and you wish to go ahead and pray, then go for it. As for me, I just got back from the phamacy and slappin' a nicotine patch on.

Not a heavy smoker, just hard to break it. Starting with step 2 seems to be enough for me as a starting point. It's not like I haven't been through this before.

Still, beating myself up for going back to it multiple times over the years will do no good. It's a lifelong addiction. They say it's like heroin. If that's true than history tells us through musicians such as Curt Cobain and Layne Staley, you should just try, and try again. No sense in feeling defeated. They gave up in feelings of defeat, and look what happened to them.

Honestly I don't know what's worse. The health issues and expense if I continue to smoke, or the agony of quitting. All I know is that I'm sick and tired of being chained to it and having to exile myself from my own house outside in the cold and rain to have a cigarette. I beat cocaine and I beat meth. It was extremely difficult but neither of those comes even close to this.
