    Hey Steve so if the male escaped, what are the chances of him making it on his own?

    I ask because if he made it outside and is surviving, there is a possibility of him mating with the local radixes

    It's possible and I hope it doesn't happen. Would be better if he died. I hate to say that but it's better then producing hybreds.

    Yes there have been reports of hybrids happening in the wild with garter snakes.
