Dekayi snakes hunt for food at night and early AM when t's very cool, dark and damp out.

Ok got it.. so with no light at all, it's ok? how about the red sided in with them?

I like to keep those 3 together, since they are Buddies? thanks

I keep my red sided with a fluorescent, but the whole room is 80 degrees.

The tank in my living room, the one with 2 male garters and 3 female Dekayi's I just use the aquarium hood with the fluorescent tube in it.

Had it like that for years.

I did that with the radix.... I just kept putting her back into the water bowl..... she drank every time!

Last couple times he seemed a little disturbed with me for plopping him in the water.

"Turn away from the light little one, it's not your time yet!"

The little Florida blue is still alive, Minimal tongue flicking, but hanging in there.

Now on to something more posative...



The baby milks are already losing the maroon look to their spots.... The light parts are not so white anymore. Starting to get more of the adult colorations.
