Here's my Dekayi crew. They've been out of the fridge for about a week and are back to eating. Very cool snakes. Great beggers.

I didn't know they had different patterns. Are the fatter ones the ladies? I'm still not sure if mine is male or female.

What are you using for bedding??? It looks like what I bed my horses on. Its compressed pine that turns to sawdust when it gets wet. I'm sure your bedding is not pine but it looks good.

    Compressed aspen.
I'm lucky, it's produced 20 minutes away from me so I can drive and pick it up and avoid shipping charges. If I only lived near a mice distributer

Ha! Ha! I got you there! I do mouse deals with my supplier all the time. I call and tell him I'm out and how many I need and we meet in a parking lot somewhere and swap dead mice for dead presidents. It seems so shady. I'm such a naughty girl! Don't tell the cops!;-)

That's why i like the banded water snakes too. Keep in mind though that bloods can get 5-9 feet in length so eventually they don't look quite as stubby. A lot of people make the mistake of overfeeding their bloods, they become obese rather easily. Their spinal ridge should be visible and they should not look overly bloated all the time. They are really fun to work with, something that needs much less maintenance than my other stuff and I really enjoy how easy they are to keep, and I look forward to making baby bloods!

Here's a beautiful female Bull snake(Pituophis catenifer sayi) She's thin and in need of some TLC. I just so happen to have some bull snake TLC left over from last year and it's still good.
She expects food every time I pass the enclosure and she's tagged me twice since she came to live here. All of it is feeding response. It will take sometime to get her calmed down. Right now all she can think about is food.

That is an absolutely gorgeous snake! How long do bull snakes get?
