    very interesting! This reminds me of a study done in japan on salamanders. It was found that the larva that developed in a tank with a vibration had bigger heads (which simply meant bigger mouths) once they reached the adult stage. this was because the larva believe the vibrations to be caused by tadpoles (this was first tested in the presence of tadpoles and later with vibrations) which could serve as a future food supply if the salamanders were adapted to feed on them.
