Recently I've been listening to my Christmas presents .... like the new Annihilator album .... but I've been indulging the Levellers recently .... the only band I fell to have traditional influences represented in modern music and make them work.

I saw the Levellers live last year (I think), and they've still got it! May be going to see them this year, too. Yay!
They definitely have a sound like no other, and their songs feel like freedom.

i'm new to the forum, but music is my thing! i'm in a ministry-based deathcore band. [sounds like an oxymoron right?] however, i listen to a VERY wide variety of stuff from crass, conflict, discharge, blanks 77 to impending doom, through the eyes of the dead and sleeping giant to fleet foxes, bon iver, manchester orchestra and frightened rabbit and then hatebreed, terror, and maddball. i will say the only thing i don't like is country music. i also LOOOOOVE reggaton and other latin/spanish influenced music. give me some kumbia all starz and we're good!

This one is haunting me again lately...

If it's not painfully obvious, Phil Collins produced and played drums on this. (Think "in the air tonight") & Daryl Stuermer(Of Genesis & Phil solo fame) is the guitar man. The whole album was recorded in the same studio with the same sound engineer as Genesis & Phil from 1980 on...
