Re: Its oh so quiet Shh Shh

    learned two things yesterday:
    1) when you have to leave the house for a while it's good to warn your visitors as to which snakes had a big meal the day before; and it's important upon return to make sure all regurgitated rodents have been located, so as to ascertain you won't find one under the couch pillow hours later (at least we now know where that smell came from)
    2) phenobarbital is apparently not used for humans any more - as of yesterday, it has not been used for humans for years (or decades, depending on which pharmacist you ask), so even though it was possible to fill a script 10 days ago it's . . . well, yesterday it was impossible, and I'm going to have to call the vet to see whether they can give my dog a prescription for whatever they do have at the pharmacy - hopefully something where the pharmacist doesn't treat me like a junkie if I loose a quarter pill

I haven't but looked it up. Sounds just like the kind of movie to rip on while it's playing.

Probably a better movie than "Frogs". It was so bad I insulted myself while/for watching it.

I have to ask, how did the rodent get under the pillow? On top of the pillow I can understand.

I guess some of the regurgitation happened there
what I am imagining (not having been there) is that the snake was slithering under the pillow and started regurgitating there, but because of the recoil from the first rat, her head came out from under the pillow, thus causing the second rat to be regurgitated out in the open

No, it's definitely not the kind of movie you rip on, it takes care of it, itself. If you've seen Bad Taste or Braindead (or Black Sheep), it's more or less in that category.

Back for another question. Was the snake being held by the visitor or was it just out for a walkabout.
I don't have any free ranging radixes here at the Ranch, other than the outside ones. I have a few I'd like to let loose. They would be where the people are. I do plan on building a open snake room someday.

Keep those titles coming. How about "Plan 9 for Outer Space"? or "The Mole People"? It doesn't get any worse/better than those.
They are oldies that have stood the test of time. They were terrible when they were made and have stayed that way.

    -Them!
-Thing From Another World (actually not that bad, it beats the remake )
    -The Giant Gila Monster

Evil Aliens was actually intended to be funny, it's not 50's sci-fi.

Watched the first two yesterday. Haven't seen the 3rd, yet.

Going to watch "The Black Scorpion" later today.

being held, I would guess - they were hanging out on the couch
due to the free ranging feline predators we've got no free ranging snakes
although we do have a free ranging house gecko in the basement
