Nightjar's like the family name. A whip-poor-will is just one type of nightjar. Cool picture!

All the pictures are neat! You're so lucky to have gotten the chance to experience Oz. I am so enjoying the pictures - and I like how you do the signs to go along with other pictures.

I, too, just love the beetles! I so wish I could go to Oz! The flora and fauna you're showing us is just amazing!

Did you play with the crabs?

    Thanks guys!
Heres a good example of the beyonce bird

@Gertie; I have to admit, I had some fun with the crabs...They can dig themselves in so fast, they really disapear in front of you!
If you provoke them (sorry guys...) they even use their boxinggloves
And offcourse, just walking in such a big group is awesome! They swarm around you, running for their lives. Its actually very, very impressive to see those crabs around you. It makes you feel humble. (even though the beach is the size of Holland...that didn't impress nearly as much as the crabs that where only a couple of centimeters!)

that's a much better example of the "wag" - it's really more of a swish or sashay

Hehehehe! I KNEW it 'Paradise! I KNEW IT! I mean, how could one not interact with them! I know I would have! They are so funny and cute. I wish I could have seen the 'boxing gloves' as I don't think I've ever seen boxing crabs. FUN!
