    Doesn't really matter how it is pronounced, as long as people know what you mean. It's a dead language with no native speakers, so it's okay to abuse it.

    I know many who would do the same. But I find it a lot more liberating to just accept that nobody really knows how it is supposed to be spoken.

    I know this is an old thread but i feel that I need to add my own name
    Nick (not hard) Huizenga (Hue-zing-ga) the last name is dutch and they would probably pronounce it like this (hi-sin-ka) or close to anyway.

    And as for my screen name Haz Anga, some people like to pronounce it as (Haze-Anga) But it's actually (Has-Anga)

    People have always had trouble pronouncing my last name. My first name doesn't seem to be too difficult, STEVE.
    The last name is Gilfillan.(Scot/Irish) 3 syllables Gill fill an
    As for my screen name Guido. That was my nickname given to me by my supervisor at the Sheriff's Office.
    Now that I'm retired, I like being called by my real first name, Steve.
    For 27 years it was Guido.
