Thanks Ashley, this little gangster is a handful of heavy breathing and intermittent strikes when hes held. Very limited interaction now as he settles in to the new environment. I will try to feed him on Friday. How's my pastel girl doing?

I don't think I've ever seen a time when my boy Tank seemed uneasy. He is the most relaxed turtle I've ever seen. This photo is one of his tall stretches he does. I'm glad he's so comfortable in our family.

Saturday, Tank and I spent the day in Des Moines at the Science Center of Iowa. Being World Turtle Day, Tank had been hired as the guest turtle for the Center's celebration. I did a 45 minute PowerPoint presentation on Tank's life and then the audience got to met Tank. As usual Tank was perfect and he made many new friends.

We are having a pretty decent year here. This was my first year to produce Tessera cornsnakes of my own, my absolute favorite corn gene. Ended up with 11 babies and proved out the het I most wanted my Tessera boy to have, Caramel, and also almost certainly proved him to be one of only a handful of of proven homo Tessera corns out there, as every baby from him was a Tessera. That's a fairly big deal.

My little gangster is scared to death and that is why he is stiking out. He is a baby. I know a few meals in him and the Justin Kobylka hand training will all fall into place.

First up Is Roxy(fawn) and Loki (Brindle) the boxers. Next is Del the funky Lampropeltis. Last but not least is Maize the corn snake, he is the funniest little snake.
