Nice little snake, But not Thamnophis. Why not post this in 'Oh So Quiet' or 'Pics of My Other Pets'? No need to clutter up the forum with non-Garter stuff, there are sections available to chat about non Thamnophis topics.

Re: How about some pics of your other pets

How did you pick it up? What kind is it? Do you plan on keeping it permanently? It's a truly beautiful snake. Vipers have always fascinated me, but I wouldn't want to keep one. After watching Venom ER a couple times, my enthusiasm was curbed by a strong sense of caution. - Getting bit didn't seem like fun.

I can just imagine how you broke the news to your mom. Maybe something like: "Hey Mom what's going on......... Mom, I've got somethng to show you but you have to promise not to wig out"
or was it Dad that got first look? Did you just walk in the house holding it or was it in a bag or what.
You've got to fill us in on it.
If we had hots in this area(Timber Rattlers, we do but not real close) my Gabby(4th grade) would come in holding one saying "Hey Dad, look what I found!
