It's not really like that, Gertie..... it's just standard misconception. We actually have some beautiful weather here.... maybe once or twice every decade, without fail!

It does seem that the English are obsessed with the weather, we certainly talk about it a lot! I guess it's because it's so variable..... If we have a heat-wave it lasts three days, then it rains. If we get snow, it's never enough to stay for long. We have no extremes and no certainty of what tomorrow might bring.
Most countries have a climate... we just get weather!
