Been cleaning the basement today, found a couple boxes covered in soot.

Cracked one open to see if I should throw it away or not, and holy cow it is filled with pictures, some in good shape, some not.

They were the pictures my mother had in her bedroom when the house burned down in 1994.

My whole life, my memories, once thought to be gone forever

All this time tucked away in two plain boxes I never opened until today.

There are even double prints of many of them, Got me thinking, If I buy a new photo album and fill it with the duplicates I can give my sister a Christmas present that will probably make her cry (with joy)

There are probably a zillion cool finds around here.

Mom passed in 2006 just before thanksgiving, I inherited the house and everything in it.

Still feel like I'm snooping around, Even though it is all my "stuff" now.
