Yeah... I'm passing on the pics myself right now... lol!! Rhea, what causes him to get these abcesses/infections whatever?? Is it like an immune thing with him?

as far as I can tell it's the same abscess rearing it's ugly head again and again, because it needed the actual opening up and cleaning out, which is what my neighbourhood vet - the one who's on maternity leave - was probably trying to avoid
the vet we lost to Pennsylvania is just way more experienced
in fact I just found out that he treats the herps of the Bronx Zoo - Sean was loading up a few from the zoo to bring to Pennsylvania
makes me feel good to have that connection, but without a car it's a bit tough
funny thing about the pics I took . . .
after I had doctored him yesterday, I felt pretty good about it
I'd gotten to the fresh blood like the vet said I should and it looked pretty hopeful
then I loaded the pics (macro close-ups) onto the computer and was totally grossed out
they don't look like he can survive this thing
it's good thing I know better, or it really would have gotten me down after all this sleep deprivationrhea
