(Shudder) But it's so.... tongue-like.... LOL

We couldn't do it, I fed it to the dogs. Who, incidentally, seemed to love it.

you should try cooking the squirrel bear grylls style. with a stick and a homemade fire in the back yard, saw him do it in an episode once was pretty crazy. he even ate raw goats testicles.

    Re: Squirrel

The only thing I'd consider cooking Bear Grylls style, is Bear Grylls. Not that cooking squirrels in the backyard over a homemade fire is bad advice, I just dislike the guy.

Great! Very funny, but you started me on a near fatal coughing fit!

Well... do you eat the outside rough part or just the inside??? And was crock potting it with gravy a good way to go too?? I actually am pretty open to eating just about anything, lol, but that rough tongue (which did come out of a cow we raised, so I kept thinking of him licking me) turned me off...

    Re: Squirrel

I also have to agree, I like tongue a lot. But my favorite food are kidneys in a white wine sauce, mmmm....

I'm from a bucher family, so I think I've eaten pretty much everything you can eat of an animal. Brains are pretty grose to see, but are yummy. To bad, you can't eat them anymore since those 'mad cow' disease ( hopefully it's the correct english translation ).

I've also eaten crickets, worms, dog, ... most people will probably find that also pretty grose...

I'm always amused when people say they don't eat kidney, liver, tongue, ... BUT they do eat hamburgers
