i put my hand in his tank before just to stroke him to see if he went for me again and he was breathing really loud. i havenever heard this from my garters or boo lol

is it only when you out your hand in there????? or does he breath like that all the time???

well hes either a snake that wasn't handled much before or something happened to scare him.......most snakes are fine as long as they have been handle......and some just never get use to it, but in order to try
and tame him and calm him down your going to have to hold him and that might mean getting bite again.......................

i dont think he was handled for about 5 month so this is why

you have to get him use to you handleing him so he knows your not going to hurt him.....................

make sure he's well fed and don't have anything on you that may smell some what like food......................feed him and try to handle him a few days later, and it wouldn't hurt to have him a little cool before hand so he's a little slower and welcomes the heat of your body............
