    She slept three days one time and I had to wake her up. I usually let her sleep a couple days.

    They are such an interesting animal. They don't seem to like anything. They want to be left alone and only come together for mating and that is a dangerous, sometimes deadly encounter. They are very territorial and defensive. Many are killed by people when all that needs to be done is to walk away.
    To have an opportunity to be literally face-to-face with a large male snapper on a daily basis is awesome. Tank has been with my family for 3.5 years and has never shown any aggression to anyone. He was territorial to another male turtle that was in the house but that aggressive behavior never affected his behavior to us.
    I'm seeing a side to snapping turtles that not many have seen. I've toyed with the idea of getting another hatchling to see if I can repeat the results that I have with Tank but have decided to devote my effort to him. He's more then enough and I look forward to all the adventures we have ahead of us.
