It looks like we'll have internetacces. If not, I can always try and find an internetcafe.

If I can, I'll defenitly send regular photo updates. I really can't wait!
We'll also try to update the weblog every now and then. Its all written in dutch, but its possible to add pictures so it should work out okay.

    Here's what we'll be doing.

We'll head for Sydney. After a couple of days exploring the city and its surroundings we'll fly to Alice springs. From there we've booked a trip to Uluru (offcourse, we have to do some touristic stuff. I prefer herping all day and night, but I have to keep in mind I'm not traveling alone)
After Uluru we'll fly towards Cairns. The inland flights are suprisingly cheap! From cairns, we'll gradually make our way to Brisbane. There we'll stay for 6 weeks for our internship.

Yeah, I really have to remind myself NOT to catch any snakes! (or crocodiles, but I think they might be a bit to big to handle )

From what I've heard, Cairns should be the best place for reptiles and such. To bad where travelling in Australian winter (or spring) The nights are still pretty cold

If you happen to see a Perentie on your trip to Uluru, take a really good picture for me... it is my all time favourite... although I've never seen one in the flesh.

I'll try! I've been mailing with some local people about good herping sites but so far it has mostly been about geckos and shinglebacks

They are such handsome fella's! The reticulated markings on its neck/chin! Beautifull!

I do have a small list of thing I really want to find...
    Shingleback skink
Bearded dragon (just to tease Kuno )
Strophurus ssp. I don't care which subspecies!
    Nephrurus amyae
    Oedura robusta
    Red bellied black snake
    *edit* Forgot about the acanthurus*

thats about it! Diplodactylus would be great...But I really don't want to find to many geckos...I might end up on the 6 'o' clock news...for smuggling!
