Me too. That's why I was wondering. Looks like maybe a malamute or some type of wolf hybrid.

It wasn't that. It was the type of dog, and the pose it is in. I didn't actually think it was a wolf, just that it gives the impression.

Yeah I see it now. Was joking anyway.

I've seen plenty of dogs and thought "wolf!" I guess that makes sense considering what wolves are.

Considering what domestic dogs are. They're Canis lupus , just domesticated. Which is why I say, tame does not mean domesticated. A wolf is still a wild animal even if it's tame. In many ways, they will still behave like a wild animal because they still are one. Tame or not.

"The domestic dog, (canis lupus familiaris) is a subspecies of the gray wolf, a member of the Canidae family of the mammalian order Carnivora. The term "domestic dog" is generally used for both domesticated and feral varieties."

Interesting though, what happened with "dingos". They were once domesticated dogs. They went feral, but then evolved through natural selection to become what they are today.

Ghost plant. A plant that lacks chlorophyll because it does not photosynthesize. I lives in symbiosis with certain species of evergreen trees and gets all it needs from the roots of the tree. In other words, the tree does the photosynthesis for the ghost plant. It only comes up briefly at certain times of the year to flower, than it's gone again within days.

Also known as Indian Pipe. This is in Uwharrie Nat'l Forest on the ORV trail last month while camping. I guess this is the girls version since it's pink.
