Re: Other pets (pics and discussions)

Just thought I'd share some of my other pets:

Riley Roo, my best 4-legged buddy! She was a rescue from Montana. She's 5 years old now and we've had her since 9 weeks. We call her a lab/shepherd mix, but who really knows?

This is Dusk aka Doodles. He's almost 2. We have two other rats, Midnight and Timber, both females. All of them are VERY lucky "feeder rats" lol!!

Thanks! He's a big fat fella. I never expected he would make it to this age (or size). He was kept in horrible conditions before I got him, and he had some very serious resperitory problems. I brought him back from the edge more than once when he first came to me. He lives the high life now, lucky dude

This may be the last update for our little Starling Sedonius.
Took the little fellow outside for some sun and this is what he did. Soaking it up.
1 minute later he stood up and flew off over the house. Haven't seen or heard from him since.
    Hope he will be OK.

Is that normal Steve? Never seen a bird do that before. Very cool either way!

Panzer crawled underneath the bed earlier today. Been asleep for a little over 8hrs now. I'm gonna leave her alone tonight and let her enjoy the rest. I thought about putting down a towel... maybe next time, I don't want to disturb her

It's just bird thermoregulation Many birds do it. Robins are noted for sunbathing.

Panzer is looking good. You'll have to get her a blanket. I think sleeping outside of water is good for them. No being disturbed to take a breath. Of course I might be wrong. That might be an automatic thing for them. I know Tank sure sleeps a long time when he's out of the water. The longest I let him go is 48 hours. He needs to hydrate and use the bathroom by that time.

I love his paws... I'd be worried that he's rip the couch with him being so heavy and his claws look sharp.
