weather I plan it or not, they have their own views.

I can feed my ball python baby rats as easily as mice. She eats 2 adult mice every three days at this point. She could handle rats just as easily. so if I end up with babies and no homes for them I'll do that. I'll simply have to put them down first...

This little stubborn eater finally met his match last night! I stuck the head in his mouth and he took care of the rest.

Keep that king away from those garters and be sure you was your hands after handling either.

Here's Tank waking up from a nap on the couch. He was in a hurry to get off the couch so I helped him into his water.
Good thing I did. Seconds after hitting the water he dumped a load. It's nice having a potty trained snapping turtle.

He's getting to be such a big boy.

Are snapping turtles friendly as pets? did you have to get him very young?

I would have to say no. Tank is an exception to the rules. Snapping turtles are usually wary of humans. They live a solitude life only coming together to mate.
Tank has been with my family for 3.5 years. He was just a bit larger then a silver dollar when we got him.
He's now over 15 lbs and continuing to grow.
He interacts with the family and shows no aggression.
He's a joy to have with us.
