    No, they are quite varied at this site. The other one was rather dark and there are melanistic specimens there too, although I didn't see one today.

    I've seen black ones, grey ones, "checkered" grey ones and even very dark brown ones in one of my best spots. Never ones without the blotches behind the head, though.

    Honestly, I have no idea if that's true or not, but they're part of the weasel family. Why wouldn't they? Regardless I've always been curious about them. Illegal to own here, but seem like they'd be a fun pet Busy, busy, busy, little critters!
