Pretty smooth, yes. Not like an amphibian would be, skinks do have scales. They almost feel like they look, smooth but you can feel that they're covered with tiny scales.

If I ever start keeping lizards again, I think it'll be skinks and lacertids ("true lizards").

Lacertids are nice, Stefan. I'd like to keep Eyed Lizards if I ever go down that road again.
