    There was a little sign but do you think I would have had the sense to take a picture of it? It ended with "scotii" or something, but worry not... I spoke to Sabine about it on the day and it was one of Hans' snakes so I'm sure he'll be able to shed some light on it.

    It's one of those subspecies that aren't necessarily recognized these days, either.

    The photo really doesn't do them justice. Looking at them "in the flesh" it was immediately apparent they were something special.

    I can believe that, I found a couple of other pictures of T. e. scotti and it is a bit special.

    it's a beautiful snake and I wouldn't care whether anyone recognizes the subspecies
    those proximus rubrilineatus are pretty nice too

    The common name of T.e.scotti should be Magdalena Garter Snake, the specy was found near by the town Magdalena at the Lago Magdalena
