and personally - despite the danger of parasites I prefer most meats rare
in fact I just suddenly had such a powerful craving for beef tartare that I actually began considering where I would be able to get the quality beef one needs when one intends to consume it entirely raw - not to mention the eggs

beef? yep I eat very rare beef, but brains of anything goes in the bin! yeeuuuch

the texture is a little like sea urchin
I've never had them raw and I'm not likely to try that with something from the commercial beef industry
I'm daring, but MCD doesn't sound like fun at all and I suspect that their bottom line still overrides public health when they're able to (what's the current euphemism for bribe?)
there is a local meat CSA though that I'll be joining - somehow I feel safer with their meat
