Re: T. e. scotti on the Ranch

    Very nice Steve.
they told me they don't eat much, but grow very quick ...... I must warn you ... some are biiiiiiiig eaters

I love the mexican ones. I have a big adult pair, and some babies from last year left.
I must say .. in the beginning they are a bit shy ... but the older they get the more visible they are.

I have my adult male with an adult concinnus. I have my female with 2 melanogaster canescens females who are much smaller.
One of my first thamnophis was a scotti male. He's now together with some sirtalis (parietalis, florida blue, melanistic) but they do very good togheter ... I do have to say I don't feed them in their tank. I take them out and feed them seprate in a feedingcontainer.

Most of my scotti's love to sit in the whater for hours. So make sure you have a large whater bowl.

I have some melanogaster canescens babies. Also from mexico. But that's a whole other ballgame

Nice job with the scotti's steve .. enjoy.

Here we see a couple of the T.e.scotti scrubs enjoying a morning swim.
After their swim they were served warm pinky parts for breakfast.
The snake not shown is in opaque phase.

Yeah the scotti's are awesome. I like them a lot. It was my first garter .......
Funny part is .. I had babies but nobody wants them ??? I still have babies left from last year.
So strange because they are so cool. Very nice green belly, very active and they love their whater bowls.

Enjoy them .. they are awesome .... I'll keep reading their updates here. Very nice.
