    Elliot the Duckling

    Ah the wonders of working at a pet store. The other day, an elderly lady brought in a bird that she had found completely orphaned under a tree in her yard. The little guy was soaked and shivering when he arrived. Upon arival, this elderly lady presented me a box that she told me contained a baby bird. She was convinced that this was a chickadee or sparrow! Boy was I in for a surprise when I opened the box and found a duckling! So I have taken it upon my self to raise this young duck, who I have named Elliot, and integrade him into a local flock once he has grown old enough. I will try to post pictures to inform you of this progress. This shot is of when ducky arrived at Petland on Saturday.
