Found the nicest little pet store just 40km away. Mostly reptiles and a few rodents. Lots of cool snakes, Nerodias, black rats, Coelognathus radiatus (Elaphe radiata), two Pituophis melanoleucus subspecies, the mandatory corns, boas (Boa constrictor and Corallus hortulanus) and pythons (P. regius and Morelia spilota).. Plus the lizards, frogs, invertebrates and tortoises.

No garters, though. But that black pine snake almost got me.

    New bull snake

Thanks to snakelovenbabe's beautiful pictures of her bullsnakes I just had to have one..and he is very cool..so thankyou!! I do have a question though..right now I have him in a large rubbermaid container..but I am afraid the humidity is too high for him...is there a way to lower humidity in these tubs and what humidity is safe for bullsnakes? Thanks so much!!

More ventilation is the solution if you want the humidity to decrease.

I went to twin citie's reptiles today..that place is crazy..and spendy..almost all of there snakes were like 150 dollars and up a couple were going for 5,000..my baby bull was only 40 though..I think it was the only cheap one..but he is exactly what I wanted!:-) They are selling green anaconda's there..and they are 150 dollars..crazy.I would think they would cost more! The lady working said they can get 20 feet long...can you imagine? I think I'll stick to my six footers lol!!

Captive born (i.e. "mom" was caught gravid), maybe? Either that, or they're cheap because it's the only way to get rid of them. Green anacondas are one of the largest species and definitely the heaviest in the world. And they're water snakes. Good luck trying to keep one of those if you're already staring at the price tag.

20' is the average, they can grow to 30'.
