Good question I'm just going by what the previous owner had told me. He said that he had seen Panzer evert his hemipene before. So, honestly, i'm not 100% sure

Males do have the habit of flashing so the former owner might be right.
I just thought Panzer's vent seemed close to the shell in that upside down photo.
I thought Tank was female at first. He needed to mature more before his vent moved further down the tail.
Big front paws are another sign of a male.

How's Panzer's attitude at this point?

Here's a few more I just took of his vent. He might be too small to visually sex right now? His SCL is about 6 inches.

And I feel like we're making progress. I take him outside and let him walk around. I also let him walk around inside. The gaping mouth and striking has stopped. I'll put my hands down, palms up, in front of him while he's walking and he'll just walk right up into them. It took a lot of effort to get him to open his mouth for the vet, lol!

Tank refused to open him mouth for the Vet.
I had to take the Drontal+ home and put it in his pinkies.
Time will tell on the sex and at this point it's probably not a big deal.
Be careful as Panzer could give a nasty bite. That beak is razor sharp.

    Looks female at this point.

Oh look, now you've embarrassed her in front of all these people. From what little I know about turtles, I gotta say, looks female to me too.

just got this guy a little while ago. he's a 2mo Paroedura picta (pictus, panther, ocelot, Madagascar ground gecko). named him Ripper because he tears around his cage at night and has a pretty explosive strike (not quite as impressive as my little red-sided's was, but not bad for a 3" critter). very inquisitive and adventurous little lizards if given the space. they come from dry woodlands, so very fun to set up with thick pieces of bark and stones.

this was about a month ago, he's filled out a bit in the hips and tail since then. you can't really tell in this picture, but his eyes are a deep blue with a rim of dark yellow around the pupil.

he climbs to the top of anything in the viv and i've seen him jump approx. 4" vertically to get on top of a plant pot.
