How often are ticks found on snakes?

I've never seen them en masse, usually just one per snake.
This was once on a corn, and once on this ribbon, and actually they weren't attached to the snakes but crawling near them.

ticks are nasty if they get on a snake, and you need to be careful that they dont damage the scales when you pull them off.

She doesn't really want to cooperate, but it's scattered in small amounts throughout her under body. I'm keeping her on paper towel; it'll be gone with her next shed.
