My youngest daughter Hailee is the keeper of the Mammoth Sunflowers.
This is her dirt project for the year. We don't harvest them but let the birds enjoy them.

My grandma had some sunflowers when I was a kid. I always remember them being taller than my grandma, almost as tall as my grandpa (who was 6'5) and the flowers were bigger than our heads. I loved them, even though I always had an allergic reaction to the pollen.

When I was younger we have about 20 sunflowers all around our yard! It was so cool! I loved to watch the birds and squirrels feed on them!

This is one of my favorite shots. It's taken from my thinking spot.

Here are a bunch of pictures from my beach trip and around my house. I've been meaning to upload them for forever, and am just now getting around to it..

This is a yellow warbler I saved from the cats. It flew away after about 10 minutes

Here's a baby skink my dog Bear found for me. He rode around on my hand for almost a mile through the woods so I kept him for a few days. He's back in the wild now.

At the beach.. If anyone wants to identify these guys for me, feel free to. lol

He's standing on a sign that says "Do not feed or harass the wildlife"...
