Mike I actually found a great home for them because I didn't have time to spend with them. They like alot attention and we were rescuing animals at the time (we had 130 animals!) They are very sociable animals so I would actually suggest you get 2 unless you plan to spend alot of time with him. They seem to be happier with a buddy.

thanks for your input, joanne! i have two very sweet, small dogs that love other animals. i am thinking they'd get along fine.. supervised, of course. perhaps they'll bond and he'll think he's one of them! two is a definite possibility, but so is none at all! still not decided. do they poop as frequently as guinea pigs?

I don't remember how much just bigger! Mine were used to interacting with dogs and cats so they should get along fine. I think you should get them though. I regret having to give mine up! They are little cuties!!!

hogs are awesome! i have nine! highly recommended! they have such an attitude at times. they'll make a little hood and hiss loudly if they don't want to be messed with.

Which is pretty much all the time. Just ask Shannon.

For the last couple of days Tank has been claiming a quilted blanket as his own.
It's official. It's his now.
After this photo he retreated into the blanket and went to sleep.
He's just a big, spoiled puppy.
