If only my dogs would be so kind as to let it rip. But no... No warning. It's silent, and sneaky, then all the sudden people are running from the room gagging.

My dog has done that a couple of times to me recently...my son too...lol.

my female kukulcania hibernalis. i've had her for about a year now.

she came with an egg sac, but unfortunately only 4 babies hatched and only 1 survived. lots of yellow, infertile eggs were in the sac. here's a pic of the lone survivor.

thanks steve! they are pretty awesome. i love their coloring! very secretive little things.

and speaking of crawling... when she's walking on you, you literally feel each and every single leg come down and make contact with your skin. her moves are very deliberate calculated. it's like you can feel her thinking about where she's gonna go next... kinda hard to explain, just something you would have to experience yourself.

Umm..I hope that is not something I ever have to experience. One time, when I was in my late teens...I was in my bathrobe after a shower, sitting in my family room. My entire family was in there...and since I had just gotten out of the shower, I had nothing on under the robe. A very large spider...that looked a lot like the one in your pic...crawled up my robe. I freaked out and threw the robe off and started running around naked screaming....then realized I was naked in front of my father...screamed some more...and ran out of the room! My family, of course, thought it was hysterical...

Is that a hissing cockroach? I had to hold one of those at the Ag Fair here at University of DE last year. The girl plopped one in my hand and was like "You don't want your son to see you scared now do you?" Nice...very nice manipulation of the mom there, lady.

Sorry to change the subject...but, I bought my son a guinea pig tonight...so the zoo gets bigger. He has been wanting a pet of his own...and I have my snakes and he gets upset because the dog is so attached to me...so I decided to get him a pet of his own...He's wanted a guinea pig. He named her Spike. I thought that was a very cool name for a girl. She's very little and brown..I have never liked guinea pigs but I have to admit, she is growing on me...she's pretty darn cute. She is terrified right now of course. My son has to take care of her, though, or I give her to someone who will take care of her...that is the deal. I'll post a pic at some point.
