Here is Cain having a bath, Strangely this time he seemed to really enjoy it.

He sat in the tub for half an hour before he wanted out.

I was looking at craigslist (snakes, Seattle/Tacoma) was real shocked to see how many people wanted to dispose of them. People really don’t realize the commitment to any animal when they take them in as a pet.

Agreed.

Very sad, And Ball Pythons go for a "dime a dozen" so when some kid asks for one, mom and dad give in.

3 years later the kid has lost interest, and the snake suffers for it.

One day soon we are going to get another from a semi-local animal shelter that gets them and iguanas fairly regularly.

Considering how many become "Lost souls" we will NEVER purchase ANY from a pet store.

Last night I read a "bicker" thread on the KS Monitor forum (seems to be the only kind they have) about walking monitors on leashes.

Lots of opinions both for & against.

As soon as the "against" folks started talking about hot asphalt and scaring people, I quit reading.

It makes me glad to live where there is so much land and woods available.

I can't wait to take him back outside, He enjoys eating everything that moves, he's like a vacuum cleaner with legs.

He "marks" the territory, funny to watch, he runs from tree to tree and drops a small load

When we get to the creek, he is an excellent swimmer, although he has never shown any interest in eating aquatic life.

Out in the open, worms, slugs, grasshoppers, crickets, whatever moves he runs right up and inhales it.

I really hope to build him his paddock, I think it would be great for him to have a big escape proof pen in the yard.
