When we first went to pick her up she was a bit crazy, bit the ladies shoe and whatnot, but in general she is a pretty calm snake, I'm working on taming her down and whatnot. Second day and she has already accepted prey, took an adult mouse (live) without an problems. Hopefully I'll get to actually take her out and hold her later today, she's just a tad skittish for me to do it now

I had a bull snake as a youth. It was my first big snake. She was very calm and spent a lot of time out with me. Bull Snakes are protected in Iowa so my days of keeping one are gone, except in an emergency rescue. Have fun.

Yea, I used to live in Iowa as a kid, just outside of souix city actually. My dad told me about how they had to bring in bullsnakes for a park north of the city to keep the rattlesnake population down.

I'm not allowed a snake, I have fish though and today I bought a Fire Bellied Newt!

I bought this little girl(?) today and have her set up in a very nice sterile tank. After a week or so i'll move her to a more permanent home with more water and more land.

The photos are crappy so I'm sorry bought that Artificial light in a dark room is just bad for photos.

But anyways, here is Buddha!

Newts. Haven't seen one in years. Had my share of them as a child. I always enjoyed them.

I've had a few of them over the years. Mostly Cynops orientalis, but also C. ensicauda.

That one probably needs a bit more water.

Theres lots more water compared to what can be seen in the photos
The part in the photos is just part of the dry area, about 2/3 of the tank is water ^^
