incredible! did you get him as a baby? i see common snappers at herp shows all the time. last show a vendor had a bunch of alligator snappers. they just look mean. tank looks like a big puppy in a shell! lucky you

He was a little bigger then a silver dollar when he was given to us.
He's originally from South Dakota.

was he special from the start or did he have the snapper attitude?

He's never had that normal attitude. Just a very mellow turtle.
I think if he would have stayed in the wild he would not have lasted very long.
He's way to trusting and as we all know trusting humans usually means animals die.

I don't even know it Betta is on the list of approved fish.... I think Ottalaus would have a problem with it though.

I love betta fish! They all have their own little personalities. I swear their pretty smart for a fish their size...or a fish overall.
