Re: Wild T. radix Ranch Snakes

Today I found a beautiful gravid radix right off my back deck.
This is the second time I've held her as Gabby found her a few days back in the same place. She greeted Gabby with a load of poop and musk.
She was much calmer for me. I checked her over and put her back under the deck.
She had some great facial color and was more of a milk chocolate colored brown.
When I was back by my shed I spotted the back end of a very dark phase radix heading into a wood pile I created for them.
I spent a little time waiting for him to come back out but he didn't.
I hope to see him(pretty sure it was a male) again.
Surrounded by water and the best group of radixes anywhere.

I saw that little dark phase male again today. As I was mowing the grass back by the shed I saw him heading back behind it. It a great place for cover as I have piled a lot of vinyl sliding there. This little male has sparked my interest as I've only seen his backside so far.
I'm looking forward to holding this little guy.
He's playing games with me and winning at this point.

That all depends. He appears to be a young male from his size and males I have plenty of in the wild population. I'm guessing 20 males per female.
    I'm thinking he's a smart one.
    We'll have to see.
