    Re: Flickerfriend's wc

There is no way to tell you for sure if she is or isn't.
It all boils down to the experience of the people telling you and some luck.
If she's a heavy bodied female she may look gravid but not be.
She may also be a thin bodied female that has a small litter.
Only time will tell either way.
Considering the time of the year and her size I say no, but that is just a guess on my part.
That's too bad they don't make E.P.T's for snakes.

She looks a bit like Mama. When I caught Mama she was the BIGGEST garter snake I had ever seen. I thought she was definitely gravid... Turned out that she was just a female Lately, she's been getting fatter every day... Not in a bad way though (I hope she never sees this post! she might bite me for calling her fat!!) She's been eating a lot too.. But don't get me wrong, I absolutely love fat garters Maybe I'll have to get myself a radix one day since Steve has said they're eating machines. I want a garter that's just like me! haha

This is not just my opinion but a substantiated fact from many other radix owners.

He's over a year old now and about 18 inches. (he was 9.75 inches when I got him) He's far from outgrowing his modest 10 gallon tank. I hear you on the money part but you know, if you wanted one you could always save for it. I got a deal and he was only $75 shipped.

In any case, Steve has perhaps just a few normals that are just as wonderful.

Albino or not, if you get a radix it will be special. Some of my best/valuable/nicest radixes came from right outside my front door and are just normal phase snakes.
Nothing against any other thamnophis but I believe(from my limited experience) radixes live very well with humans and adjust quickly.
