I feel your pain, the snakes have been out for over a month here but its been frosty every night so I havent been able to find any snakes, other than the green one i showed pics of. I also noticed that you are only 12hrs drive away from me...lol I may have to get you to send me a snake that looks like that mean on in your pics (or the mean one itself lol) if it isnt too much trouble or maybe even some different ones that you guys have there that we dont here. afterall we canadian herp nuts have to stick together....shipping to and from the states seems like it would be very difficult.

Concinnus and ordioides came out of their dens on warmer days starting in late January here! They stay close to the dens only surfacing to catch a little warmth from the sun and to breed. Smart move because the weather can turn deadly cold again. We've had very few days warm enough for normal activity and it's been mostly raining and quite cold for the past 6-8 weeks. Don't worry about the snakes, they've been doing this for a while. I'm sure they're back in their dens safe and sound. The snow actually helps insulate them and hold in some of that warmth that has been building up.
