I'm on an island here. Nobody else close to me is working with Garters, that I know of. I'm the only one who publicly supports the little creatures. I get a lot of strange looks when they hear I have anything to do with them. Boy, are they missing out. Just means more for me.
I'm sure I'll be tagged the "Crazy Garter Snake guy" in the future. Stories will be told to neighborhood children about me and my house. "HE'S GOT THOUSANDS OF SNAKES IN THERE AND HE FEEDS THEM SMALL CHILDREN" Other elderly people will be seen feeding the squirrels and birds. I'll be out talking to and hand feeding the radixes
I can see it now. Me in a pair of bib overalls, radixes hanging out of every pocket. The committment papers signed by a judge and the Sheriff's Dept. serving the papers. The deputies sent to get me will argue as to who has to transport, me since I smell like Garter musk. It'll be a thing of beauty.

Instead of the nurses making statements like 'Make sure he takes his Meds. He hides them" it will be more like "Check his pockets for snakes, he hides them" The new nurses will ask "does he always talk to himself?" they'll be told "No, he's talking to the snakes"
I'll have to smuggle earthworm into me room to feed the radixs I've collected.
