They also breed a dog called something like a shitzpoo or close to it.

I did not want a dog at all, but Dorothy insisted, and I gave in.

Had him a year, and well lets just say I don't exactly feel the same way about it I did last year.

This dog I never wanted "adopted" me, the ONLY place on the planet that dog ain't allowed to be is in the reptile room.

He gets his own Mcnuggets at the drive thru window.

I got a call yesterday from someone who's neighbor moved away and abandoned their dachsund and her 9 puppies-- so they are coming here tomorrow. I don't know I've ever heard of a dachsund having that many pups!! Anyway, I bet they are cute little buggers!! I haven't had a litter here in a while so it should be fun.

People are just infuriating... apparently this dog has always been kept outdoors in a pen. Who would do that to a dachsund? Idiots!!!

Anyway, I'll post puppy pics tomorrow if anyone wants to see!!

this world is full of idiots.....i deal with that kind of stuff all the time...had a girl move out, opened the door, let her dog out and left. I took the call, impounded the dog (nasty chow) and took him to the shelter. this young girl didn't put much thought into her actions.....I had been out about 3 months before, impounded the dog for a shelter quarantine, and cited her for the dog running loose, attacking a passerby, no license and no rabies shots. Duh!!! when she didn't show up to pick up her dog, he was euthanized (sad, but was an aggressive dog with a history of biting, we won't adopt them out, liability for the county) i filed paperwork with the city prosecutor and they issued a warrant for her arrest!!!!! it will catch up to her and she will get her butt kicked by a judge!!!!!

One of the finest cats I ever had came to be this same exact way.

His name was Oscar (Already had a Felix, so Oscar made sense) The family moved away, let him out and drove off.

By the time I got him he was so bad off it cost $400 at the vet to fix him up. Worth every penny to me.

He had broken teeth, parasites (name a feline parasite, he had it) and was emaciated when he showed up in my barn!

Sadly the previous owners will never answer for their crimes.

that is unfortunate and happens here a lot....when we don't know who people are that move out...kinda hard to charge them with abandonment...

Don, I'm hijacking your thread-- hope ya don't mind! But here are the pics of the "dachsund" momma and pups-- LOL-- yeah, well, they aren't exactly dachsi's but I do think she is possibly a beagle/dachsi cross. Very sweet girl and she's such a good momma.

Here she is with some of her brood:

I love this pic-- "Oh, please, get me a massage and some Excedrin!!"

    Awwww puppies...

I think these pups might have some spaniel in them...

A hay bale is the best toy ever!

I don't think they'll be too hard to find homes for!! :-)

Yeah, that's how it all starts, with oohs and aahs, but later there's barking and biting. They're ticking timebombs of death.
