You can also try a little pinkie and pinkie parts very fast. They are known to take them very easily. Like Roy says, they are one the easiest eaters...

James is babysitting my concinnus babies for me till Saturday and feeding them trout pieces and earthworms. "Greedy pigs" is what he calls them!

Wow, they're really cute, Mikhaila and Rhea Congrats with those lovely babies !!
I also have to agree with Roy, I think their quite similar to infernalis, that means they'll eat anything. Our infernalis babies are now 2 weeks old and they eat like pigs

    Re: exciting surprise

I tried giving them some food today (trout & pinkie pieces)
    they weren't much interested
but then they were just born yesterday
some of them will turn up in the classified section
I am planning to keep a couple
I am hoping to trade as well

    Re: exciting surprise

    here's an update
the babies are doing great and four of them (at last) took food today
I served f/t trout and pinkie pieces
of the four that ate three were not a bit interested in the trout and sought out the pinkie pieces, two of them working down pieces that I wished I'd cut smaller
I'll just have to work a bit more with the others
it looks like some of them have shed and some haven't, but I haven't stumbled upon any shed
it seems that the ones that haven't eaten are the more skittish ones
I suspect that at least two of those want live food because their interest level went up considerably when they saw the food in another snake's mouth (this was during an earlier try when I'd attempted to feed them is small groups)

Good to hear that at least some of them are starting to feed. I actually seperated my non-feeders from the rest, think it helped so they had a chance to try some food before another one gobbled it up.

    Re: exciting surprise

I've been feeding them one at a time, ever since the bad food fight during the first attempt
the ones that ate are in a different enclosure now
I know what they eat and they're now in the "easy" category
who knows - some of the other four may end up there as well
after another try with worms and pinkie pieces, I'll try live minnows
their mom is in shed right now and I'm hoping she'll be sufficiently hungry to perhaps try a rodent when she's done
I should see whether the ones that opted for rodent pieces yesterday are the ones that look more like the male, since he took unscented fuzzy - no problem, whereas the female won't even consider them when scented
this just occurred to me and I'm at work, so I'll check later
