    they're all nice
    I like the ones with darker colours, like the two left ones in the top row and the second from left on the bottom
    how do their colours tend to change, as they grow?
    or is that just as variable as their colours at birth?

    It is almost as variable as what they'll be at birth Rhea. My adult male started out like the one on the top left and is pretty much the same now. His white bands got a bit more "peachy" looking, but that's about it. My female actually started out looking a lot like the one on the bottom right, so she changed a ton to adult hood. Guess they're just variable all around! LOL Yeh, my favorite is the second from the right on the bottom. I love how the saddles are actually made up of three colours. The one on the bottom left would be my second fav. though. This was actually one of the last to hatch.
