Is there any simple way of sterilizing snakes? No joke, it would solve the problem.

    Exactly!

There are some people I trust who keep garter snakes and if they would want one, I might consider it, but it would be o difficult call. I have to be sure that they do not get used in reproduction again.

But first I have to wait if she is pregnant and if the young are okay.

    Yep, looking back it was.

But they were already a few months out of hibernation.
    And never showed any matingbehaviour.
And the female already had shed close after the hibernation.

Indeed, I do not intend to kill them when there is no good reason.

And I know my responsibility if it comes to it.

And maybe this (or something like this) is what is going to happen. Who knows.
But I first want to see what happens during the growing up.

    Re: Accidental love...

im sorry but I think thats really wrong... they are garter snakes just like any other! we here being garter snake people, whether they are hybrids or not, they are still garter snakes and they still deserve to live out their lives! especially feeding them until they are bigger, and THEN giving them to the kingsnakes... that is just not right. I think it is wrong that the babies should have to pay for a human mistake of housing two species together (not pointing any fingers at you, just saying that in general).
