    they sure are!!!! all 22 have eaten for the seccond time in a row!!! but i dont know when to let them go..... i want to let them go at just the right time..... time of day and in good weather....... they are all growing like crazy....

    They're adorable Shanley! I'd think mornings would be the best time, but I've heard evenings, too. My thought with mornings is that the nocturnal predators are all tucked away for the day, but then there are still birds, etc. Hmmmm...

    it's release day ok..... need you're help......

    my yard has 4 parts: upper field
    steeply sloped woods
    lower field
    flat woods edging the creak.....

    all the parts are about 1/4 a mile long..... where should i release the snakes?

    i have to release- 3 adults
    22 babies
    and 2 yearlings

    o i forgot..... there is also a pond wetlandish area about the same distance from the creek as the sloped woods

    The adults were all caught in the field, right? How close is the field to either the creek or the pond/wetland area? I'm assuming since there's still water in the pond and the creek right now that they stay wet all year? Are any of the areas further than any of the others from neighbors, roads, etc?

    I'd lean towards the wet areas for the babies, and back to the fields for the adults/juvies if that's where they were found... I'm looking forward to hearing what everyone else has to say, though!
