    Terry,
I have to ask if any of the returning snakes seem to recognize you. What I mean, do any returning snakes seem to know you are not a threat? Any other of your observations would be great.

Nolan, It's his sunroom that has the snakes but maybe he could use a little extra money for renting out the basement.

This thread is a great read from the beginning to end, wait it has no end.

Yeah they recognize me... as a great big thing that is probably looking to eat them, one false move and they are gone!

Man! Snakes are hard to come by this year. Just one for sure, so far. I think that this might be the same one that I saw inside, got that same little spiderweb snoogie on his nose. He seems to be checking out the outsde world. Weather is going to get nasty later this weekend, so I may be able to get them interested in the lamp. Otherwise it might be a short "snake baiting season".

    Re: Baiting snakes

Well as you can probably tell from my lack of posts this spring, the snakes have been pretty scarce this year... This might be one of the reasons why. Caught him sneaking out for a bit of warmth this PM, looked really big and unfortunately well fed.

As you can see he was decidedly unhappy about being picked up! Too big to be hanging around the sunroom so decided to make a long distance relocation (one more bite and it could have been to somewhere other than this earthly world….LOL not really).

One more pix, you can see he did draw blood. Pretty sure I have not seen this one before, and No James it is not ladybug. Hope at least a few more garters show up before end of “baiting season”. See ya.

    Thanks for the update.

Are you sure it's not Ladybug?
