We found many hermit crabs this summer in Cape Cod. I was constantly breaking up "crab fights". We put them in a bucket and then let them go at the end of the evening. However, I was breaking up crab fights with ones I found on the ocean floor. Like that isn't big enough???!!!

I know..what's up with the crab fights? My crabs attack each other...it's crab drama I tell you. I know, Chantel...that's what Steve told me too...luckily I have never seen a garter in any store around here and I hope I never do.

My eight month old chihuahua puppy has a stuffed cow that he humps all the time...we call it "cow time"...ha ha. I tell him " Nobody wants to watch that!"...I need to make an appointment to have him neutered...

Late this afternoon I drew a warm bath for Tank. He woke up from his slumber and headed to his water.
After taking care of his turtle business he returned to bed.
A few hours later I partially uncovered him and found him in a classic, relaxed turtle position.
I sometimes wonder if Tank is comfortable in his life with my family. I think that question has been answered.
So comfortable, even with 5 kids and 2 dogs running around.

I can hear those hermit crabs being called back to the sea.

I don't think so. They're 100% terrestrial. And by the way, if you have too many of them that are the same size, the fighting is over available shells. Get 3-5 shells of appropriate size, per crab, (and perhaps a larger enclosure) and the fighting should greatly decrease.

Well I just put them in a 5 gallon tank and put more shells in there...they don't seem to be fighting now.
