Nah, I can't be there either Gertie July is one of the busiest months for my kids and unless they hold water polo junior olympics in NY next summer(not likely) I'll be here on the other side of the country scrambling around and pinching pennies trying to get my kids everywhere they need to be. There is light at the end of the tunnel, tho... my guys are 16 and almost 15... this craziness won't last for too much longer... and I'm going to miss every second of it...

Really, though, Wayne, you only have 9 years before the last little one hits 18... 9 years will fly by so quickly... of course nothing magical happens at 18 and we can only hope that we've prepared them well enough that they become independent at some point (they have to, right? eventually? lol)

Yeah, but when Amanda (My 25 year old) bought a lakefront home with Al and my Grand daughter, I lost a best friend

They live a mere 5 miles away, and they are so wrapped up in their own lives, that my daughter flies by the house and beeps her horn. (That's the closest thing I get to a visit!)

Once upon a time, her and I were sewn together at the hip...

Yeah... that's what I'm worried about and having boys, it'll be even tougher. Guys tend to move where the girl wants... sigh... my mom is still very involved with our family and comes to all of my boys games, school functions, etc. but hubby's parents make no effort whatsoever to see the kids? Weird...

Lulu, that's great that you are already booking flights and making plans!

In my case, I'm definitely interested, but won't know for sure if I can actually make it until closer to the actual date. July 2009 is still a long ways off, but unless something major happens in either my finances or my personal life, I will be trying hard to be there.

If I want to go to the meeting (and I really like to) I have to make my plan now and start saving money or looking for a cheap flight.
It would be nice to fix a date and make some plans for the program.

Further it would be interesting to have even one European member with permission to im- and export snakes.

Is everybody agreed on this date? I would struggle around it because of college.
