Not orchids no, but just today I found a nice little male european mantis outside. But poor guy, he was missing his back foot.

    Also @ Didymus20X6 lol
@Hornets23 ya sure, they're great little guys and each is different, personality wise, its just the cute little buggers die so soon, you rely get attached to them. They're also really easy to take care of and will eat anything (meat) and I mean ANYTHING. If you look up mantis vs mouse on youtube you'll realize these guys are pretty strong. Even a vid about them attacking a little corn snake (it lives, it wriggles out).

Also, you do not want to get pinched by the adults, they can make you bleed, but they are usually well mannered.

My boyfriend had one, it'd climb onto his hand when he put it in there. It nibbled his finger before, but he said that it never actually bit him hard or anything.

    Seriously concidering a cornsnake

So after going to IHS Doncaster, I now realllllllly want a cornsnake. Of course I'd have to wait until we move as we don't have the space.

Does anyone here keep them? How are they to keep?

They pale in comparison to garters. Sit in their hide 24/7, a dead mouse once ever one or two weeks.... sure, they're big a pretty, but garter snakes, active, intellingent, fun, blow them away.

You're not having one. We have 5 garter snakes in the house and tank of warm water waiting for fish. We need to move house before we can fit any more in.

Garters -- pretty, personable, different personalities per garter, intelligent, active, fast matobalism meaning frequent feeding, fun!

    Corns -- boring.

Okay, so I'm a little biased, but that's how I see it.
